I forgot to mention this in the other post just now, but I think it deserves it’s own post anyway.
I discovered that Skype also sells telephones and it looks like it’s possible to have a conversation on an account on a phone while someone else is using the computer to have a conversation on the same account. Which means that with one of their phones, I can call people and have people call me and chat with them on a regular old phone while Justin keeps on working and talking using the same account on his computer!!
So we just put in the order for that phone and it should be here in 3 – 10 days. Once that arrives, people should be able to call me anytime (so long as the internet is working, and it doesn’t matter if Justin’s computer is on or not) and that will be AWESOME. I won’t feel nearly so cut off from the rest of the world while in the house anymore.
I’ll let you all know when we’ve got that in hand and all set up and everything.
But will we still have to call it using skype? Or do we just dial a regular number from our phone?
It will be exactly like a regular phone. You’ll call it just like you’d call any other phone number from your phone!! 🙂
