This past weekend ended up being a frustrating time. Justin didn’t feel well, so none of the packing was accomplished. I got into a funk so I just sat around most of the weekend watching hour after hour of Law & Order SVU. That gave me some funky, funky dreams so I woke up this morning thinking, “I’m not a psychopath, I swear! Now please let me finish planting these flowers!”
So I don’t have much to show for my weekend. It’s a good thing it’s a short work-week and long holiday weekend so I can try to make up for some of that later on. I only have to work through Wednesday of this week. Of course, I’ll be missing one-quarter of my paycheck because of my current lack of holiday pay—I’m still bitter about that.
Anyway. My ears are feeling better. My right ear is completely healed up and fabulous. My left ear is still tender, but it’s looking better. I’m still not really sure what was happening there. But it was bleeding this morning when I got out of the shower and now it’s scabbed over. I’m avoiding touching it because it’s still sensitive. I’m sure it’ll be all healed up in a day or two.
The only other thing I can think of to write about, and trust me, I’ve been trying to think of something all day, is my super-cute shoes. I stopped at the mall on Saturday to pick up a few things and stopped in at Payless Shoe Source and got the cutest little brown faux-leather Mary Jane ballet flats. I don’t have a picture. But trust me, they’re adorable.
I hope everybody’s having a great day! We don’t currently have any plans for the weekend other than to pack up the apartment, but I really hope that you’re planning to do something super fun and joyful for the weekend!!
