To Do (28)

28 things to do before I’m 29

(List created on October 15, 2008)
  1. Pay off the Target card.  (May 11, 2009)
  2. And the Bank of America credit card.
  3. Be hired direct at my company.  (November 3, 2008)
  4. Lose 30 pounds (weigh in at 185).
  5. Finish unpacking the house. (Pretty much done over Christmas.)
  6. Change the template on my webpage. (January 27, 2009)
  7. Be able to run 3 miles all at once. (March 21, 2009)
  8. Have at least $1000 in savings.  (February 13, 2009)
  9. Fix the brakes on Justin’s car.  (July 25, 2009.  The brakes are rusted through and would cost more to repair than the worth of the car.  This is no longer a goal.)
  10. Start my Professional Organizing business.
  11. Go to the optometrists for the first time in a year and a half.  (November 29, 2008)
  12. Go to the dentists for the first time in . . . three years.  (December 11, 2008)
  13. Convince Justin to go to the dentist as well.  (December 11, 2008)
  14. Find a good internist in the Bluffton Pooler area.  (December 3, 2008)
  15. Get a massage. (February 27, 2009)
  16. Find a church where Justin and I are both comfortable. (Live Oak Community Church, members as of February 1, 2009)
  17. Make friends with someone local.
  18. Repot the plants.
  19. Make a landscaping plan for the yard.
  20. Get new pictures in the frames at my work desk. (February 6, 2009)
  21. Have a plan established with Justin to get his degree.
  22. Be in the habit of planning weekly menus for our evening meals.
  23. Start posting again to Wake Up the Muse.
  24. Have at least 10 concurrent pages of new creative writing saved with the intent of writing more.
  25. Finally buy a subscription to Real Simple magazine instead of picking one up every month at the store. (Christmas gift from Nathan.)
  26. Have my sights on competitions to keep me motivated—a writing contest and road-race, specifically.  (Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition, Shamrock Run)
  27. Convince our landlady that we can be trusted to not wreck the house, so when we call with problems she doesn’t think we’re doing it on purpose.
  28. Write up a list of 29 things to accomplish before I’m 30.  (January 12, 2008.  Review by my birthday.)
